Self Erecting Cranes
Lift It Crane Hire can supply self erecting tower cranes across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and the U.K.
Self erecting cranes are a type of jib crane relatively new to the UK. Compared to a traditional jib crane / tower crane, self erecting cranes provide a cost effective heavy lifting solution for small to medium builds especially where site space is limited.

About Cattaneo self erecting cranes
The main qualities are the "CE" labelling and the "ISO 9001" quality system certification.
It is now widely acknowledged that observing the essential safety requisites detailed in the EC directive 98/37/CE, the minimum requirement for equipment sold in Europe, no longer satisfies discerning customers in terms of reliability, technical assistance and durability (namely QUALITY).
In 1996, Luigi Cattaneo S.p.A. was one of the first manufacturers in the field to lead the way and qualify for ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION for its QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM.
All cranes are designed and built to be reliable and have a long life.
Easy access and inspection of all mechanisms and motors
Motors, limit switches, load limiting devices, complete electrical installation, pressure gauge and the hydraulic control station are all located at the base of the crane for effortless servicing and adjustments from ground level.
Trolley travel mechanism and limit switch with automatic cable recovery during assembly. No electrical components are fitted on the jib or elevated parts of the crane. Lifting winch, hydraulic control station and rotating mechanisms are protected by whole-body housing. Fully housed slewing ring with shielded, internal toothing.Fully integrated stabilisers with galvanised screws that are protected by the legs in the fixed base.
Transportable on an articulated lorry with the crane on tow in compliance with maximum dimensions.
All models in our range can be transported complete with wheels and axles on articulated lorries with the crane on tow in full compliance with the maximum dimensions permitted by the Highway Code.

Robust, non-ageing crane structure
All Cattaneo cranes feature jibs with a tie-rod construction. For cranes with an extended reach, a twin tie-rod mechanism has been devised for improved safety, without additional weight. Jibs and tie-rods on all models are hot galvanised as standard and the base and tower are given two coats of paint by dip coating. The tower may also be hot galvanised if preferred by the customer.
Modular jibs
Simple adjustments ensure different jib configurations and capacities can be obtained for each individual model so that the crane can be used in restricted areas or in proximity to obstacles.
